The mayor of San Martín, Pedro Álvarez, who has family roots in the village of Mon, expressed his satisfaction and hopes that the project will be "a revulsive for the area." He noted that it is "the most important element of San Martín." The rehabilitation project is complemented by a museumisation project, financed with funds from the Oscos-Eo tourism sustainability plan, which will allow autonomous visits to the building. However, guided tours will still have to wait at least until the municipality has tourism staff to guide visitors through the space.

The work carried out in Mon has made it possible to restore and rehabilitate the building, incorporating new spaces and facilities "to make it fully functional as a public facility." In this regard, in addition to consolidating the structure, restoring facades and recovering original elements, a bathroom and a modern kitchen have been added. The archaeologist from the University of Oviedo, Elías Carrocera, explained that the main objective was "to consolidate the container, prevent it from becoming a ruin," and this has been achieved, also solving problems related to water ingress by reactivating the old drainage systems.
